At the 11th Phoenix Fire Convention, we’re diving into a universe of pixels, power-ups, and immersive worlds! This year, our theme is „Videogames,“ and we invite you to step into a world where fantasy and reality collide. Whether you’re channeling classic arcade characters or the heroes from the latest cutting-edge games, your attitude will bring the magic of gaming to life.
The Fancy Dress Night will take place on Saturday, so come dressed as your favorite gaming legends, villains, or avatars—anything that connects you to the vibrant world of video games!
Expect the gala show, decorations, and artwork to reflect this thrilling theme, with interactive elements and surprises. We can’t wait for you to join us in celebrating gaming culture!

Our Philosophy
A mystical fire bird that has found its place in many stories and legends for millennia. What could symbolize this primal force, this primordial spirit of life and change, better than the Phoenix? Like the phoenix, we cleanse ourselves in the fire to arise again and again, each time a new version of ourselves. For millennia, people sit around campfires are fascinated by the eternal dance of the fire. For the fire means warmth and security, but also exchange, stories and togetherness.
At the end of its long life it builds a nest of cinnamon and ignites it with a thunder-accompanied wing beat. In the flames it burns itself to ashes, leaving a glowing egg in its place. From the egg comes a new, young and strong Phoenix, to begin life anew.

Hinter der Phoenix Fire Convention steht eine Crew aus leidenschaftlichen Feuerspielern, Jongleuren, Kreativen und Zirkusmenschen, die unzählige Stunden damit verbringen zu planen, zu bauen, zu organisieren und zu gestalten. Alles, weil wir diesen Spielplatz erschaffen wollen.
Wir tun das in unserer Freizeit. Wir tun das nach der Arbeit. Wir tun das, weil die PFC mehr als ein Event ist. Es ist ein Ort, an dem wir sein wollen. Ein Zuhause, an dem Feuerspieler:innen, Flow Artists und Träumende zusammenkommen, um zu feiern, was wir lieben.

Every single euro of your ticket goes directly back into the convention. We do not take any profits. We, the crew, pay ourselves no salaries. The money you invest flows into stage technology, lamp oil, and safety equipment, the infrastructure, first aid services: into everything that transforms a simple field in Thuringia into the largest fire gathering in the world.
This is not business. This is love.
Behind the Phoenix Fire Convention is a crew of passionate fire performers, jugglers, creatives, and circus people who spend countless hours planning, building, organizing, and designing. All because we want to create this playground.
We do this in our free time. We do this after work. We do this because PFC is more than an event. It is a place where we want to be. A home where fire performers, flow artists, and dreamers come together to celebrate what we love.

Die Phoenix braucht dich
Die Wahrheit ist: Dieses Event kann ohne Volunteers nicht existieren.
Vom Aufbau der brennenden Phoenix-Statue bis zur Firesafety, vom Begrüßen der Teilnehmenden auf dem Campingplatz bis zum Sauberhalten des Geländes, vom Auffüllen von Toilettenpapier bis zum Verteilen von Geschenken an Workshop-Teacher: Volunteers halten die Phoenix zusammen mit der Crew am Laufen.
Wenn du dich als Volunteer einbringst, hilfst du nicht nur aus. Du wirst Teil der Phoenix selbst. Also vergiss nicht, dich während der Convention für Volunteer-Schichten anzumelden!
Wir arbeiten gerade an einem neuen Volunteer-System, das allen hilft, den Überblick über Aufgaben und To-Dos zu behalten. Bleibt dran für Updates!

The Phoenix needs your support
The truth is: this event cannot exist without volunteers.
From building the burning Phoenix statue to fire safety, from welcoming participants at the campsite to keeping the grounds clean, from refilling toilet paper to distributing gifts to workshop teachers: volunteers keep the Phoenix running together with the crew.
When you volunteer, you don’t just help out. You become part of the Phoenix itself. So don’t forget to sign up for volunteer shifts during the convention!
We are currently working on a new volunteer system to help everyone keep track of tasks and to-dos. Stay tuned for updates!

Sleeping?
Overnight stay
You have the possibility to spend the night with your tent, caravan or car at the campsite. Please keep in mind that there is no electricity at the campsite and unfortunately we can not provide your caravan with energy! Please keep the campsite clean and take care of your environment! There is also a hotel in about 15 minutes walk!

Arrival Tipps
If you are flying to Germany by plane
Try to fly to Munich, Berlin or Nuremberg. From these cities you can take the train to Hildburghausen (city close to the location) but it will take up to 4 hours. From Hildburghausen main station you can walk 40 minutes or take a taxi to reach the location.
If you travel by train
Head to Hildburghausen train station. From the train station to the location (4km). You can have a nice walk with friends or you can take a Taxi to the new Location.

Bergsee Ratscher Beach
Only 15 minutes away from the location you will find the mountain lake Ratscher.
For only 4€ day ticket you can use the water slide and the wonderful sandy beach and cool off from the fiery nights.

- No FIRE BREATHING, no exceptions!
- No sparkling effects and pyrotechnics without permission of the Firespace Team!
- Fire spinning ONLY in the Firespace.
- No private campfires on the camp site.
General Safety
- No dogs are allowed!
- No illegal drugs!
- No weapons, or objects that could be used as such (Rope Dart with metal tip, morningstar – poi etc).
- Consume alcohol with moderation. Any drunk people becoming a risk to themselves or others will be banned from Firespace.

When does the event start?

I don't have a car. How do I get to the convention?
Hildburghausen has a trainstation, aproxemately 2,5 km from site.
There might be also car sharing provided that suits you, on Facebook there is a group (look for Mitfahrgelegenheiten Phoenix) and on site there will be a board for people to find groups to travel.
In and around Hildburghausen there are also taxi companies.
Further info for the travel back will be shown at the info point.
Are there any tickets left?
There is NO BOX OFFICE. Please buy a ticket online. On https://phoenix.akte.de/tickets you will find further information
Some people might not be able to come to the Phoenix, therefore please check on https://phoenix.akte.de/warteliste/ if there are any tickets from those people
Are there daily tickets?
No.
We all wanna spend a fews days together and comin slowly into the phoenix feeling. If you want to come for just for one day you have to pay the full ticket price.
Are there discounts for children or wheelchair users?
Yep.
Children up to 12 years have free admission (do not forget ID!).
Wheelchair users and accompanying person get two tickets for the price of one.

Nothing is easier than this! As soon as you see garbage, clean it up!

Will I be able to sleep peacefully at night?
No. As this is a festival with many people, noise levels may persist until sunrise. If you are sensitive to noise during your sleep, we recommend bringing a pair of high-quality earplugs. Additionally, for a quieter camping experience, consider selecting a spot towards the edge of the campsite. We want everyone to have an enjoyable time, and your comfort is important to us!
What does the food look like?
You have the opportunity to buy food at different vendors on location. There will be a Mutzbratenstand but also vegetarian and vegan options. You also have the opportunity to drive by car or bus to the close city Hildburghausen, 800 m away, where you can buy everything you need at the supermarkets.
In the Program there will be a map and also on site there will be various big maps.
If any help or Info is needed don’t hesitate to go to the info point near the entrance.
What about awareness?
We do not tolerate any racist or fascist ideas at the Phoenix Fire Convention. Who does not get will be kicked out, should not come in the first place! Should you hear racist comments from someone, do not hesitate to let us know. Our friendly security will take care of it immediately.
Is it possible to exchange the ticket-name?
This option is available from May.

When does the convention end?
The convention ends at Sunday at 4:00 PM (16:00).
Do I have to pay for the workshops, the program or the Galashow?
No, but it’s good to bring some money, because there will be a shop area and a flee market, further information will be in the paper program
Also the vendors at the food court are not included in the ticket price.
